VITA

The Voluntary Income Tax Assistance - VITA - program is a joint initiative of the United Way of Escambia County and the IRS that provides free income tax preparation to low-to moderate-income ($57,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Certified volunteers receive training to help prepare basic tax returns. This year, United Way launched a FREE online self-prep tax service that you can use from the comfort of your own home: www.myfreetaxes.com/unitedwayESCAROSA.
