Day of Caring is a one-day event that offers an opportunity to learn about the community’s needs while working together to combat them through volunteerism. Individuals and groups are matched with local nonprofit agencies and schools to spend the day working on a variety of service projects. Projects are indoors or outdoors, half or full day, working directly with clients, hosting a collection drive, or lending your muscles for painting or landscaping projects.
Since 1993, United Way’s Day of Caring has coordinated 25,819 volunteers to successfully complete 2,294 projects at agencies and schools in Escambia County. With your help, we can make this year our largest Day of Caring yet as we aim for 2,000 volunteers. We would love to have you, your friends, family, workplace or organization LIVE UNITED with us for our 25th year!
