Kelly Jasen has been promoted from Campaign Manager to Resource Director. Jasen will continue to lead the Workplace Campaign and the Loaned Executive Leadership Program. She assumes new responsibilities for growing the Campaign Advisory Cabinet and overseeing all Women United events. Kelly has served the nonprofit community for almost 10 years. She serves our community as a member of the Leadership Pensacola Class of 2017, Junior League of Pensacola, the Regional Training Symposium committee with the Area Agency on Aging, and her Homeowner’s Association. Jasen studied Behavioral & Social Sciences at the University of Central Florida.
Katrina Madden has been promoted to Financial Stability Outreach Manager, managing the tax programs and volunteers. She has previous experience in providing administrative and IRS compliance services for the retirement programs of public education employers and employees. Katrina studied Business Administration at West Florida State College and recently received her AA in Christian Theology from International Miracles Institute.
Trina Burleson has been promoted the MyFreeTaxes Team Lead, where she supplies information and referrals to clients, volunteers and key constituents from MyFreeTaxes programs. She has previous experience in auto claims and customer services. Trina moved to Pensacola 10 years ago from Wisconsin and is a mother of a 7-year-old son.
Jay Evans has been welcomed to the United Way team as the new Leadership Giving Director. He will cultivate strong relationships with major investors and community leaders while creating, developing, and implementing strategies for growing the annual investment in community giving. Jay has over 20 years of experience in major gift fundraising, nonprofit administration, production management and business to business sales. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Health Services Administration and is currently an MBA candidate at Georgia College & State University. Jay looks forward to learning more about Escambia County so he can utilize his skill-set to improve the community.
Jacob Miskulin graduated from the University of Oregon and then served as an Army Armor Officer at Joint base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. He joins the United Way team as the new RSVP Specialist. Jacob is excited to work with a wide range of volunteers and local organizations to create a real impact in the community. In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading, chasing his one-year-old son, and going to the movies his wife.
Melynda McCarthy serves as a MyFreeTaxes (MFT) Specialist, assisting clients through tax-related questions and technical support. She has previous experience working as a sales representative and was a loan specialist for seven years. Melynda enjoys customer service and is excited to help MFT clients across the Country with their tax-related questions.
Yoselin (Josie) Morris-Calderon has committed to be the Volunteer Outreach Coordinator AmeriCorps VISTA at United Way. Originally from Puerto Rico, Josie has two bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology. Josie served in the Army for several years, and with the AmeriCorps State and National program at Habitat for Humanity in Pensacola for two years. She has a ten-year-old daughter and is thrilled to be working with United Way volunteers.
