Empower Citizens as a 2-1-1 Resource Helpline Volunteer

2-1-1 Northwest Florida is a free and confidential information and referral service that connects and empowers callers with local resources to meet their needs. Volunteers are needed to make quality assurance call backs for 2-4 hours a week. If you are interested in volunteering with 2-1-1, email Mike at mike@unitedwayescambia.org

Lead with Experience as a RSVP Member

RSVP, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, is a program that supports volunteers 55 and better who give the gift of talent and time to a local non-profit, public and governmental agencies in our community. Members have the opportunity to participate in monthly educational and social events. If you'd like to join RSVP, email Will at RSVP@unitedwayescambia.org.

Mentor a Pre-k Student with ReadingPals

ReadingPals is a school-based mentoring program that helps 4-year-old students build the strong pre-literacy skills necessary for kindergarten success. Volunteers serve one hour per week with a student over a 25 week period during the school year. If you'd like to become a ReadingPal, email Kristy at kristy@unitedwayescambia.org.

Help Families Secure Millions in Tax Refunds as a VITA Volunteer

VITA volunteers help families in our community secure tax refunds by providing free income tax preparation for households with an income of $64,000 or less. United Way provides FREE training to become IRS certified. If you'd like to join the VITA team, email Angela at angela@unitedwayescambia.org.
