Immediate, one-time events:

Occasionally, United Way has a need for one-time events like stuffing envelopes, data entry, or assistance moving furniture in our office. If you are interested in this type of work, please contact us and we will put you on our distribution list to be notified when these events arise. Some work may require lifting 15 lbs or more.

Ongoing opportunities:

Financial Volunteer: Serves in the Finance Department to assist with updating our donor database, Enterprise, and entering data. Requires good working knowledge of computers and preferred experience with database software. Preferred schedule of 3-5 hours per week.

2-1-1 Call Center Information Specialist: Serves within the call center, responds to information requests by providing a listening ear and referrals. Inputs database information. Volunteers receive a minimum of 30 hours of training with advanced courses as appropriate. Preferred schedule of 8-10 hours per week.

2-1-1 Community Information Reporter: Works closely with the Resource Manager to identify new resources within the community or update the information on existing agencies in the database.

2-1-1 Quality Assurance Data Entry: Includes transferring data into spreadsheets and reporting monthly on quality assurance follow-up calls.
