First Call For Help
If your family were on the verge of homelessness — you have lost your job and could not pay the rent or mortgage — what resources would you seek and how would you find them? If your elderly neighbor needed a wheelchair or a ramp built, where would you go to find her help?
First Call For Help is your answer: (850) 595-5905 or www.fcfh.info.
In 2008, First Call For Help’s staff and volunteers responded to more than 30,000 calls. Each caller is unique. Each caller receives personal attention.
• First Call For Help is now assisting with child-care resource and referral inquiries. Call (850) 595-5915 for child care information.
• First Call For Help regularly surveys callers on their call center experience. The caller satisfaction rate in 2008 was 99 percent.
• First Call For Help continues to work towards 24-hour service that can be accessed with a 3-digit number, 2-1-1, when additional financial support is secured.
