Raising Resources
Annual Campaign
Even during tough economic times, the generosity of local residents shone brightly during the 2008-2009 workplace campaign, chaired by Buzz Ritchie, President/CEO of Gulf Coast Community Bank.
Nearly 9,000 donors pledged a combined $2.25 million during the campaign. More than 350 workplaces conducted a United Way campaign this year and hundreds of individuals, couples and charitable foundations also contributed.
Undesignated funds from the campaign were allocated by a volunteer committee of donors to 40 programs at 28 nonprofit agencies. Click here to see a list of 2009-10 funded programs.
United Way of Escambia County also will send designated funding to an estimated 75 nonprofit agencies as directed by the donor.
