UWADA
The United Way Agency Directors Association (UWADA) is a coalition of Escambia County agency CEOs who direct a diverse group of nonprofit agencies that are certified United Way agencies. UWADA members may or may not receive funding from United Way.
UWADA works collaboratively to find solutions to community issues relating to health, housing, education, poverty, economic development, and the environment. This is done through a myriad of programs, including those addressing prevention, education, and basic human needs (food, shelter, and clothing).
Certification as a UWADA member may be applied for at any time during the year. However, to be considered for funding through the funds distribution process, a United Way Funded Agency Certification packet must be submitted to United Way in care of the Director of Community Impact, along with copies of the agency’s Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, and 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt letter no later than the funding request application due date on or around January 31.
