United Way of Escambia County provides several services that are moving the needle forward on improving lives and building a strong community.

Born Learning
Born Learning is a national public engagement campaign helping parents, caregivers and communities create early learning opportunities for young children. Locally, United Way is working with ECARE (Every Child a Reader in Escambia) to communicate the Born Learning messages.

Community Collaborative
The Escambia Community Collaborative is a community-wide strategic planning partnership working to improve our overall community health.

First Call For Help
United Way of Escambia County's First Call For Help information and referral call center averaged more than 2,000 calls per month in 2007.

Success By 6
This 12-year initiative is focused on helping parents raise children who are ready for school and beyond by age 6.

Disaster Response
During hurricanes and other disasters, United Way of Escambia County serves as the Emergency Support Function #15 at the Emergency Operations Center.

Funds Distribution
Each year, more than 75 volunteers review local health and human service programs and make funding recommendations that yield measurable improvements in our community.

Financial Stability Coalition
The Escambia Financial Stability Coalition has worked since 2005 to help families become financially stable.
