Help Choose the programs that receive your donations by volunteering for the COMMUNITY INVESTMENT COMMITTEE!
Through United Way of Escambia County's Community Investment process, United Way donors come together to make recommendations on how undesignated donations should be invested in non-profit programs that serve in our community.
Community Investment Committee Volunteers:
- Are CRITICAL to ensuring that contributions from thousands of donors are spent in the most effective way possible.
- EVALUATE each program requesting funding, tour the program site and listen to oral presentations where they have the opportunity to learn how the organization operates and how funds are used.
- VOLUNTEER an estimated 30-35 hours over eight weeks (March through May).
- ARE DONORS! Anyone who has made a gift to United Way of Escambia County can help decide where funding is invested for the most community impact. If you are not a donor but would like to give to United Way of Escambia County, click here.
